In addition to new subjects such as Civic Education and Health Education, it is worth considering Media Education.

The example above shows just how negative and harmful hate speech on social media can become.

This graphic was posted today by Kraków Mayor Aleksander Miszalski; it’s terrifying and clearly shows that we need to hold workshops for children and teens on how manipulation in the virtual world can destroy relationships, health, and even lead to even greater harm.

We are delighted to announce that the OliEdu Foundation continues to support initiatives that promote a healthy lifestyle and public health education. 

As part of our commitment, we are honored to be the main partner of the upcoming conference “Happiness Lies in Health,” which will take place on October 6 at the “Śnieżka” Cultural Center in Dębica.

We’ve just completed a series of interactive sessions during which students learned how to be assertive and combat peer violence through empathy and communication.

Students involved in volunteering for the OliEdu Civic Education Foundation learned techniques for empathy, assertive communication, and conflict resolution.

A major change is on the horizon!

Starting September 1, 2025, Polish schools will introduce a new subject—Health Education! This is a step toward a better, healthier, and more informed society.

Why is this so important?

At the OliEdu Foundation, we believe that civic education, volunteerism, and the work of nongovernmental organizations are best practices and a school of democracy.

Democracy, as we know, is never guaranteed.

• It must be learned.
• It must be defended.
• It must be nurtured.

And the participants of the European Youth Parliament (EYP) Poland, who gathered today in Kraków for a conference, are living proof that this is possible. 
The 21st National Selection Conference of EYP Poland has just begun!

Starting this Monday, a new subject—Civics—will be introduced in Polish schools!

And what does this mean?

It’s a step toward a more informed and active society. This new curriculum will help young people not only better understand their rights and responsibilities, but also develop skills in critical thinking, collaboration, and active participation in community life.

Why is civic education so important?

The Krakow Volunteer Academy in Action Gala is an event to which Ewa Daros, the President, was invited.

The President of the OliEdu Foundation accepted a certificate and a thank-you for her collaboration with KAWA, saying:

Following high-profile appeals by doctors, Kraków city council members, and the OliEdu Foundation, there is now a second neonatal ambulance for newborns in Małopolska.

This ambulance, marked with an “N,” is equipped to provide newborns and premature infants with specialized equipment and an experienced team of medical professionals on board.

A huge thank you to everyone who signed the OliEdu Foundation’s petition on this issue, prepared by OliEdu Foundation President Ewa Daros, who gave interviews on the subject and engaged the media to raise awareness of the matter.

We have completed a training session for volunteers, which is regularly conducted on a pro bono basis by Ewa Daros, the President of our Foundation.

During this time, we focused on an important topic—preventing violence in the school environment. We all know that this problem affects not only the victims, but also the perpetrators, witnesses, and the entire school community. For this reason, it is so important that we, as a community—parents, teachers, students, and volunteers—work together to create a safe, supportive environment in schools.

The "Ujastek" Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Ltd. organizes a special annual event called “Blisko Siebie.”

This is an annual gathering of premature babies hospitalized in the ITN ward and their parents.

It was with great joy that Ewa Daros, President of the OliEdu Foundation, took part in this gathering alongside volunteers from our Foundation. A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Daria.

Fantastic weather, a wonderful atmosphere, and excellent organization ensured that smiles and joy were contagious for everyone throughout the day.
